Inspired by the magnificent yuccas that grow in my garden, the six foot tall spikes produce an abundance of creamy white flowers which open and die quite quickly. I had to capture them at their most beautiful although this painting is of only the top third of a full spike. This is quite a loose fluid painting which captures the light on the individual florets. It's done in water-based ink on 200gsm watercolour paper and is 16x12 inches (A3) in size. Signed on the front it's sold mounted but unframed and shipped in protective packaging.
